Here in Verona, December is a foggy time of year. As I mentioned yesterday, Chris and I first visited Verona in December of 2002, and at that time we were struck by how foggy it got. The Santa Lucia market in 2002 was very atmospheric, shrouded in fog. We spent a few weeks in Italy that year, and our flight back after New Year’s Day in 2003 was supposed to be from the Verona airport. However, the airport was socked in, so the airline bussed all the passengers to Bergamo, a city/airport over an hour away, in order to get us a flight out of Italy.
Anyway, the fog hasn’t been as bad as we remembered from years ago, but it still does creep in to create a some atmospheric photographic opportunities. I’ve included a few below – see what you think.

Another look at the fog coming in on the Adige (same photo, different photo treatment, no sun included)

Nice shots. I remember being in London in Dec. and there was a pea soup fog. Very eerie.
