Today is the day Chris and I embark on our “Plan G” wanderings, which means it is also the day that the next blog begins. Just as background for those of you who may be new to my blogs, until today my husband Chris and I lived in Tübingen, Germany. However, when a possible job in Germany fell through earlier this year, we decided to seize the opportunity to do a fair bit of travel. We nicknamed our idea “Plan G” for reasons described here. The first thing Chris and I need to do at the outset is to make ourselves into tourists, rather than residents, in a European country. To do this, we’re handing over our keys to the Tübingen apartment this morning, and then heading to London in the late afternoon. The plan is after two nights there, we will leave London and then be magically transformed into American tourist in the Schengen Area when we arrive in Verona, Italy a few hours later.
We don’t know exactly where we’ll be going or what we’ll be doing over all for the next few months.
So let Plan G begin, where the “G” stands for Grand Tour at this point, I guess.
It should be a Great Adventure as well.
Stay tuned…
this sounds great
thanks for the new blog!
Thanks, Kathy!
