Lights of Santa Fe

In lieu of offering a Food on Fridays post without photos (as they aren’t sorted yet), I thought I’d instead post a few photos that have nothing to do with food.  You see,  while Chris and I greatly I enjoyed  our visit to Santa Fe food-wise, the scenery was also spectacular — the light in Santa Fe really as enchanting as they say.

Below are a few photos I snapped in between running around to museums, photo archives and visiting new restaurants; those 3 things were really our primary preoccupations while we were in Santa Fe. But a little photography made its way into a couple of our days as well.  Mostly I focus on the sky in the shots that follow, but the one of the sun and shadow is representative of the really extremely strong sunlight, which cast impressive shadows everywhere you looked.

Enjoy.

  1. The light is very beautiful, and the composition in the last picture with different shades of purple and white mountaintops underneath is incredible.
