Before we moved to Europe, it had actually been at least 15 years (and probably more) since I’d been the primary grocery shopper in the family. Chris was the one who did most all of it in North America. It wasn’t until we got to Italy that I took over that responsibility. My challenges in Bolzano’s grocery stores were mostly tied to figuring out where to find things in the store (e.g. learning that the sugar is stocked next to the coffee and not the baking supplies, etc.). Yesterday Chris and I decided to check out a little photography museum in Daytona Beach, Florida, the Southeast Museum of Photography. Daytona is about 91 miles from Melbourne, connected by both I-95 and U.S. Highway 1. We opted for the slower scenic route via US Highway 1, which meant a more than 2-hour drive. Continue reading
